I am now, however, 18 years old and short.
Amazon? Pfffft.
Amazon:
Pronunciation: \ˈa-mə-ˌzän, -zən\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin, from Greek Amazōn
Date: 14th century
1 capitalized : a member of a race of female warriors of Greek mythology
The widest river in the world. A man-ish female tribe in mythology. An annoying book selling web site.
Thanks UrbanDictionary, thanks. So I'm a man-ish warrior? Dude, I can totally handle that.
Because I am a fighter. I wear a Betta Fish necklace, not because it was uber cheap and pretty, but because it's beautiful and fierce. They'll fight to the death and look stunning while doing it.
They are the male-animal versions of Amazons.
Good job, Betta Fish boys!
And I might be little, but I've got spunk. Like one of those yappy dogs you just want to punt across the room. I've got it, I'll use it.
I'm a fighter.
I'm quite the tiny Amazon.
You know who you remind me of? Sarge / Jasper.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a high compliment. I don't know two other pugs who I would rather be compared to.
ReplyDeleteMan... I wanted to be the first person to read this, then I suddenly got company. :P
ReplyDeleteyou've been short since the day I met you... I've never held that against you. I'm not heightist. That's a new word I invented.
You might be short, and I'm tall (5'11 to be exact). But who cares? I don't mean that to sound flippant, but really, what does it matter? It mattered when we were in grade school and they placed us by height on the stage, and kids related their value as people to their size. But we're grown up now and we know better. And you might come in a small package, but isn't that just it? It is only the packaging, it's what's inside that counts :)
ReplyDeleteWhy yes you are! And this is coming from another, older version! Hear us roar (from way down low!)
ReplyDeleteDuring grade school I was one of the tallest kid.
ReplyDeletedoctors told my mother I was going to be tall..
well doctors don't know crap and my growing stopped at the young age of 12 years old.
It bugged me for a while but then I realized my shortness is a part of who I am.
Keenan, people like us are perfect hugging height and fun size.
who knows, maybe God made us a little spunkier then to make up for the height.
so let us shorter people rise up!
well as much as we could....
